About The Book

A harrowing, issue-driven legal drama that exposes the quiet horrors of systemic child abuse through the eyes of a deeply conflicted juror. The Grooming of Aaliyah challenges readers to confront the devastating reality of predatory manipulation and the heavy, personal burden of everyday justice.

A truth that will force one man to question everything.

At two in the morning on a freezing January night, Elizabeth Dunlap risks her own freedom to whisk her teenage niece away from a house suffocating under dark secrets. What begins as a terrified flight to safety abruptly halts at the state line, throwing Aaliyah right back into the nightmare she tried to leave behind. Now, the young survivor must face the ultimate battle for her future in a crowded Houston courtroom. She is the sole witness to her own stolen childhood, standing against a man who hid his predatory nature behind the mask of a devoted provider.

Sitting in the jury box is Jess Conway, a man defined by deep faith, strict routines, and unwavering principles. As Aaliyah bravely unravels the shocking reality of her survival, Jess finds himself torn between clinical evidence and psychological manipulation. He must sift through a maze of systemic neglect, shattered innocence, and chilling legal theatrics to uncover what really happened behind closed doors. The stakes are absolute, because one decision will either finally set a survivor free from her past or let a monster walk away completely.

For fans of John Grisham and Jodi Picoult featuring courtroom drama, found family, and dark psychological suspense.
