Margaret Holzmann has combined her love of colour, geometric designs and interesting construction techniques to create 26 patterns for bold, modern blankets. A range of skills are used, including intarsia, short rows, crochet trims and a three-needle cast off. Some of the blankets are made in a modular style with new sections picked up and knitted from those already completed, while others are knitted in strips and then sewn together – ideal for knitting when you’re on the go. There’s a lot of repetition involved in the designs, making these perfect projects if you’re looking for some TV knitting or just want some calm, mindful crafting time.
Each blanket has written instructions alongside photographs, illustrations and schematics. The patterns in the book are also supported by technique videos on Margaret’s YouTube channels.
