Emile Doak

Emile Doak is the executive director of the American Ideas Institute, which publishes The American Conservative. He has served in a variety of roles since joining the organization in early 2017, and previously worked in education. His writing has appeared in First Things, Chronicles: A Magazine of American Culture, Front Porch Republic, and elsewhere. A proud native of Herndon, Virginia, Emile lives in the historic district of his hometown.
