Robert Mark Kamen

Robert Mark Kamen is an acclaimed screenwriter whose work has shaped some of the most iconic action and coming-of-age films in modern cinema. Born and raised in the Bronx, he earned a PhD in American studies from the University of Pennsylvania before his writing career began unexpectedly in 1979 with the sale of his first screenplay. Kamen has over twenty-five major motion pictures to his credit, including The Karate Kid franchise, the Taken franchise, The Transporter franchise, and The Fifth Element.
